Can't remember title or Author. Story unfolds in 2 parts, first, a lost teen of a hunter/gatherer tribe is stuck across a big river and trying to find his way back learns of Centaurs. At the same time an exploring space ship encounters treason and has to abandon ship at this same planet. Any help is appreciated.

I figured that would happen but gave up reading it when it seem to drag on. how many chapters before one story line?
Same here, got to a chapter where the boy was talking to someone he met and IIRC in the whole chapter they travelled abuit a hundred yards and nothing else happened. At that rate the heat death of the universe would occur before the story concluded so i gave up. I was disappointed because it had been very engaging to that point.
And just when the two storylines are brought together on the planet, the author has gone MIA, since July 2019. Looks like this great story is destined to become one of the Incomplete and Unfinished.
It might be nice if the site allowed authors to post a synopsis for a story, showing how it was expected to pan out, with this legacy post only appearing when (a) the story got the yellow 'incomplete and inactive' flag, and (b) the author had not visited the site for some time (6 months, say)? Obviously, many authors would not want to take advantage of this, but others writing long-running serials might like to leave a note of how they expected it to end. As the story progresses the legacy post might need changing!
Edited to add: I would love to know how, for example, Raven Soule had intended to bring Tycoon to a conclusion! Also, some authors might prefer the legacy pist only to be visible to fellow authors, in the hope that one of them might care to try to continue the story (without the handicap of the plot having been revealed to the general readership).
