There was a many-part series I remember about a guy, maybe college age, and the two women he began a relationship with. They met at a party which led to him fingering both the girls under the table at the same time, then began dating. I remember a later scene of getting a ring made of three interlocking pieces. Maybe "triad" or some variant in the title.
Didn't the three main characters in aroslav's 'Model Student' have some sort of jewellery made to symbolise their relationship? However they didn't meet at a party.

It could've been another one of aroslav's, too. But in Model Student they didn't have the jewelry made - the third girlfriend's mother had made it, and they bought it when they saw it.
Another potential candidate is Ryan Sylander's "Opus One" although I can't remember exactly how he met the two girls, they were roomies though.
Neither of those are the right one, but look worth checking out, thanks. The one I had in mind I would have read on ASSTR, around 2003-2004ish, so those are a little too new. Twice lucky is about the right age, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't a do-over story.
I'm not sure the rings were custom made, the guy could have just found them in a shop? I appreciate the guesses though.
