As the subject states - i need help to look for a story i read but lost the link.
I remember that the young man just moved from a place to a new school due to his mom, grandparents and sister(?) died from an accident. His dad works with the us gov, but is not an american citizen.
I do remember in the flashback he sends a coded message to be passed to his dad, with his nick name as "archie" because of AA or Ack-ack.
If anyone can help in identifying the story, i would be thankful.
