Forum: Lost Stories

My phone recently crashed while in the midst of reading a story and I cant remember the name or author. Here's the plot: young girl on the Golden Gate bridge about to commit suicide saved by the new guy in town. She was gonna jump with her mom's ashes, he stops her. They begin a relationship of sorts. He convinces her life is worth living. That's about as far as I got. Any help finding it again would be awesome!

Further: girl was pregnant, kicked out by religious dad after mother died. She lost the baby before meeting hero.

Something about that sounds familiar. I was thinking she'd found herself pregnant as a result of a rape, if it was the story I thought?

Unfortunately, that really doesn't help, since I don't recall anything else, like who wrote it or when. Probably at least ten years ago, tho...
