Looking for a story about a family man. It ends with him driving home from the doctor after being told he is sterile, and with him saying "Where did the five kids come from?"

Is this a "cheating" story or had he not been sterile for ever?
Even if he was always sterile it wouldn't have to be cheating. The wife could have gone for artificial insemination without telling him.

But if she did that and got pregnant without his knowledge or acceptance, isn't it still cheating? She got pregnant by another man; granted it was a step away from direct intercourse but the end result is the same.

Maybe, in a hyper-technical sense, but not in the traditional sense that the tag implies.
Not the required story, but Orson Scott-Card's Speaker for the Dead has this (the sterility/cheating) as a plot point.
