Pretty sure I read it here; elements I remember:
- A teenage girl in either California or Oregon is brought to an alternate Earth without humans where a new society is being organized.
- She isn't told first where she's going.
Those are the elements I can remember.
I seem to have a vague recollection...something about 3 valleys? I'll look some more.
I don't know if it was the title or the author but I remember something about 3 valley sammy. There were a few stories about some type of government project transferring a bunch of people to an alternative universe as a backup in case of nuclear war. As I remember I think much of the society was clothing optional. I read part of the first story(?) which had a good rating but it didn't really hook me.
Three Valleys is the swinger's area of Bruce Bretthauer's (Prince von Vlox here) New Zion, an unpopulated alternate-Earth in the grip of an ice-age and being populated as part of a project originally run by the government. From the story blurb, I think the OP is looking for Danni Tyler, and Three vallies - Sammi was another story he set there (kudos for remembering that - it led me to the Danni one). They're all now premier, and I managed to wreck the copies I had saved with a malformed rename command so I can't give more detail.
It doesn't look like much if any Bruce Bretthauer stories on BTFH are on SOL as Prince Von Vlox.

The Bruce Bretthauer stories on BtFH are pretty much all "no sex". What little overlap there is between the two sites is:
- the Kalliste stories are in both places, but in totally different versions. The BtFH version looks to be much newer.
- there are 3 valley stories on both sites, all they have in common is geography and maybe some background. The term "3 valleys" is not used on BtFH, it is New Zion there and the Mormons play a role in running the place.
Danni Tyler was indeed the story I was looking for; thanks. I'm going to have to read the other stories as well as the Bruce Bretthauer New Zion stories at some point. Thanks everyone!
He also wrote some great SF, also on BtFH. Firestar is the first of the series. He's been gone almost 5 years now, that his Prince von Vlox stories have been archived already surprised me a bit - obviously he stopped logging in towards the end.
