Guy invents a time bubble device where all time stops inside the bubble his boss calls a confrence in the middle of the desert while everyone is there releases a virus to reduce chances of pregnancy or something like that and activats the bubble around the confrence while the virus runs its course

It ends with wife or girlfriend from before the bubble being trapped with boss in another bubble by the bubble creator

It sounds like Betrayed Downstream by The Lycanthrope, but it's not on this site. I just verified a google search of title and author will find it.
