Doesn't match, either. Rance, the main character in Perhaps Love is present during the "accident," where he saves his future wife (a supermodel) from a runaway truck.

As I stated in the first post I am having trouble as well in my search. I don't know if everything I think happened in the story really is from that story.

But I can try to add some more pieces I have floating around in my head:
The MC finds the car in a ditch with the two girls inside, one unconscious. I don't know which one was driving. The young singer (unknown to the MC at the time) has to pee and wets her pants when the MC promises to not tell on her. The name of the MC is some kind of biblical reference because the young woman refers to him as "Saint..." because in her confused state she mistakes him for an angel because of his name (I am unsure if his name really is from the Bible or only similar).
For some reason the MC visits the girl in the hospital, I think he has her drivers license or purse from the crash. He is confronted by the manager, a black woman that used to be in the industry herself, as a model I believe.
The MC invites the young singer and her mother as well as the manager and some other staff to his house, which is pretty secluded (maybe even at the end of a cul-de-sac). He has a housekeeper that knows the starlet and is a bit starstruck. The MC has an assistant or coworker that falls for one of the PR people of the starlet (another woman) and intends to leave her current work to pursue a relationship. I believe it is her intended that mistakenly alerts the press of the starlets whereabouts because she buys a pasty or something from a bakery in the big city where the singer usually resides to cheer her up because she is bound to a wheelchair while recuperating, at least most of the time. The media follows the delivery to the house. The manager accuses the MC or his housekeeper and leaves in a huff. Only some time later does she learn of the error when she or the singers mother come upon the credit card statement with the purchase of the pastry. I believe she apologizes via telephone.
And if I remember correctly there's an outdoor shower at the house of the MC and he uses it to watch the manager shower (and I believe the mother of the singer), but they don't mind and tease him.

Maybe some of the above might help one of you to remember it. I must admit that I doubt I will find that story because all my searches turned up empty, I believe that story was either deleted or never on here to begin with.

I'm almost certain the story is here on SOL because I recognize the items you mentioned. The problem is I can't find it either. Just too many stories that come up with most of the search words. I checked stories in the results but a closer look tells they are not the requested story. I don't remember the shower part in that story.
