Hey folks,
I'm looking for a story that was unfinished when I read it.
Started with the MC dragging loads behind a snow machine into a national park where he's been left a cabin.
Turns a key in the place (fireplace?) and wakes up to it being a different world. For some reason I remember him collecting handcuffs. Goes on the road to explore and ends up being a sheriff type guy.

Ummm, Keet? Warlord died in 2017. I was a Glorious start to a book, but . . .
I added his page on ReaderInfo.net so I know. I should have worded it differently to avoid confusion. What I was referring to was FantasyLover who finished Warlord's story Scout and silently wondered if the same could happen for Blood and Iron. There are several threads about the ethics of finishing another author's story but in this case (Warlord) it was discussed in this thread.
That derp that you heard was my fingers writing before my brain engaged.
