I REALLY have to do a better job of cataloging the great stories I read here. This one was in two parts.
In the first tale, the MC rides along, hears screams and sneaks up to find rape in progress. Irritated, he eliminates two galoots and starts taking care of the Indian maid, who is really out of it for a while. Eventually he teaches her to shoot and ride a western saddle. They encounter a trio of bandits, one of whom is just the right size for little Sue to wear his clothes and boots. They get to a town, buy an old ranch with a rundown cabin and start a good life.
Second story picks up and continues their tale and they manage to pick up another female.
I sure hope someone hears a bell ringing and lets me know the author of these stories.
