I remember a similar story about an engineer working in Columbia picking up his two sisters at the airport and them being captured by rebels. Not sure if this is the same story but I'd like to find it, too.

I suspect the story you're looking for is 'Kidnapped in Colombia' by authors Joe J and Wet Dream-Girl. Unfortunately it would appear that Wet Dream-Girl has left the site and removed some(all?) of her/their work. Joe J hasn't written or updated anything since 2009, although two of the stories they originally had together are on his pages.
