Forum: Lost Stories

Hi

I'm looking for a story (maybe two) based on my memories of two scenes that I think are in the story (stories?) ...

first scene (the one I'm the less sure as it's maybe something from one of my never published and now lost stories) the owner of a mining exploitation has the police or an agency servicing a search warrant on his exploitation because the owner of another mine claims he is claim jumping and they search for gold nuggets on his place ...

but the guy is not worried as on his claim all he ever got was gold dust and some few flacks

the second scene (I'm more sure about) has the hero and some other people in tracked vehicles (at least two I think) and tehy have to move in a snow storm

I think remembering the second scene being in a "post apocalyptic" story, something about a virus but it's possible it's not

I've not met the scenes yet but the author's name and some details titillate some memories already :D

especially the part where they process some rocks and to get some gravel and pebbles for the concrete they will do
