I am looking for a story where the main character is i soldier or guard and due to his last dying statement of "for the ???" while he is protecting the royal family ,but I do not believe is a royal guard at the time. Because of this he kept alive and is giving enhancement usually reserved for royalty. Somewhere in the story their is another soldier I am think admiral attacked him or the king and loses his hand.
