just got back here, and of course all my saved stories are blank /sigh anyway, looking for an old fav, story starts with a group of soldiers *I think* ending up in a fantasy world, I think the main character ends up with some sort of cat-based shifting thing and builds a pride, the wife turns into a fairy and ends up laying an egg or something later in the series, I think there is a prophecy or something going on in the background of the story as well, can't for the life of me remember what the damn things is called, remember it being a fairly long story, though not finished, think the writer was AWOL, thanks
