Dead tree, C.J.Cherryh's 'Foreigner' series, though it's a few books in before any intimate action occurs (there are about 18 books so far) - however, it's SF if that puts you off; she's an alien assassin assigned to protect him, the sole state-sanctioned translator.

The "Charlie Fox" thrillers by Zoë Sharp are worth every penny. She's the bodyguard (close personal protection is apparently the term of art for bodyguarding), and there is a love interest, albeit not with her client. Complications ensue. Your library probably has all or at least a couple of them.
