Well here goes.
I'm in search of story of a young male, high schooler, living with his single mother, in a bad neighborhood, happens across a debutante walking alongside the road. He gives her a lift. Pair become friendly, eventually fall in love, and then they learn he's a royal. I also remember a bit of gang violence.
