I'm looking for a story I once read about a high school student who has a little trouble learning. He has to study real hard to keep up. He also plays on the football team (defense, I think). Something happens and all of a sudden he starts having an easier time learning and then can learn thing really easily. He ends up asking to play offense and leans the playbook overnight.
That's about all I can remember about the story and I hope I'm not mixing up two different stories.

I forgot the titles but bear with me, people here will probably recognize them so you won't have to worry.
The first one was about a guy with a reading problem, it was probably dyslexia, idk, he like's baking pizzas.
The other one, was of a guy probably same as the first one because when he was a baby, his umbi cord wrapped around his neck or something. Both of his parents died leaving him a fortune(this is crucial to the plot) and he also likes to design on CAD.
Both are very uplifting stories.
