This seems like an easy one, but for some reason I can remember everything but the title/author.
Guy leaves work one night, driving his motorcycle. Girl leaves home drunk. Girl runs into guy. Guy gets injured, totals his bike. Girl offers to help take care of him while he recovers. He moves into her pool house.
Later on he goes abroad to finish his med school. She's an actress abroad doing a basketball themed movie. They run into each other and he ends up being in the movie.
Those are the bits I remember lol.
