story about an orphan that grew up to be a cat burglar,but he only stole from criminals and led the cops to the bad guys.i think he was known as a the cat or something like it.

i did like it,but it was not the 1 i was looking for.the only other thing i can use to describe the story is he breaks in to an office and finds out it is his real mothers who isa politician and there is also something about a keychain with an important to him logo.

i think it was called the steel cat or something and it is driving me batshit crazy

Could it be A Stainless Steel Cat by Michael Erickston. I found this on Goodreads.

thats the one i thought it was just my luck the author dropped it from here.now i can sit and cry.
