As the title suggests, I have this small scene/plot point running through my head and I have NO clue what story it belongs to or any other details of the story.
Plot point: Using an English or History class to research and create a perfect list of "what to take" as a semester project.
Assumption (based entirely on the plot point and NOT based on any memory): story's MC has the opportunity to go to the past or to an alternate world and is limited in tech level and weight limit on what they can take so gets some assistance to ensure best choices.
Hopefully, this is enough to trigger someone's memory and identify the story. When this plot point decided to dance through my head without any other story detail backing it up, it intrigued me to try and find out more because it seemed a common story basis (time travel or alternate world travel) but with a very rare/unique implementation (MCs in such stories are usually given no advance warning so no way to research "best choices" much less get an entire class/group to do the research as a semester project).
