Greetings,
This HAS to be a SF story. It's a Do-Over type. Guy dies, goes back into his former self as a youngster, probably 12? 13? His father is not his biological father and is in the USAF and is VERY violently abusive. The mother is unhinged, mostly. The brother is a sociopath. Main Character bails and gets to go live with his aunt and uncle in California. There, our MC discovers his REAL father who owns a bunch of auto-repair garages. MC also, with his grandfather, makes a bunch of bets on sports (naturally) and wins millions.
And that, while I hope detailed enough, is all I recall of the story.
I recall neither the title nor the author.
Thank you for any help in finding this one.
Appreciate the help!
