I asked about this story a couple of years back but my phone got destroyed so I lost the information.
Young man sues the Confederacy because his parents get killed because an AI didn't issue a warning or something. The son gets a spaceship and coordinates to a couple of worlds out of the path of the swarm and starts to build his own civilization.

Thanks for reading and the compliment! Glad to read you enjoyed it! I started a follow up but writing isn't a "passion"for me and don't have the urge to write very often so finishing is doubtful.
