I read a story awhile ago about a Dr. Who's wife cheated and had a baby by her lover said dr left to go to Ireland, was a great story, mc found a small town over there that needed his help, and the mayor talked him into staying, im hoping you all can help me 😉

Right now someone might read it as Dr. Who and think of different stories.

I think he meant 'a Doctor whose wife cheated'.
I did indeed at first think the Tardis was involved.
That said, it doesn't ring any bells for me, any more details available from the OP?
