Some months back I started reading a story about a young man who had a horse that was wanted as a stud by the group of horse breeders all over the west during the 1800s. One of the breeders was involved with a railway, and arranged to have the guy takes his horse to the other breeders by catching the train to the nearest station and riding from there. Does anyone remember the name of the story or the author?

Thanks Grizz, I did do some chapter flicks to see if that was it before, but didn't find any matches then. But with a second vote on it, It'll try a proper read from the start, and see how it goes. Maybe I was just checking the wrong chapters when i skimmed.
Thanks Grizz, that's it. Although it took a long time to get into the part I remembered about it. Which is why i couldn't find it when skimming the chapters.
Yeah, that's the part I remembered that made it very different to the many other westerns. When searching for a story you need to identify something unique or character names, or you'll never find it, and I knew that part was very unique.
