Damn, I read this one but I too can't remember the title or author and it was a while ago but I had premium then but not now so can't look in my library.
I read it within the last five years but not sure it was posted within that time or just when I read it.
Also though I liked it I can't remember if it was completed since I can't remember a ending and was thinking of other story elements and for some reason I seem to recall something about a bunker/mine he was retrofitting for some reason but that bit might be confused with another story unfortunately.
I will go looking around but free accounts are severely restricted for searches to a laughable degree, will update if find something or remember more helpful details.
