I'm looking for a couple of stories. The first, I used to see all the time.
Physicist is on vacation and aliens appear with a human woman. She was saved when her spaceship was destroyed and she is a historian from the future. They have brought her to him for safekeeping.
After learning his name she reveals that he was executed for war crimes. He has been researching a 'mass disruptor' type weapon. It is built, but the military loses control of it.
They amend his research so that the device won't work and live happily ever after.
The second, I haven't seen for a long time.
A teen girl escapes from a lab and is picked by a down on his luck young man. She has mind control capabilities. They later return and rescue her 3(or 4) younger sisters.
The lab tries to recapture them and then employs an assasin to kill them.
Later there ia a slightly older teacher involved. They get a boat and house and in the end the first girl uses and loses her powers saving the guy. Minimal sex or none takes place.
