Sadly, Herr Maj is no longer with us. We probably won't get access to the records for at least 100 years, but allegedly Royals were told to get to Balmoral for 4pm if they wanted to be there when she died, so it's likely she received a dose of happy juice to send her on her way.

Supposedly, the same means was used to send, I believe her father, on his way. In his case, it wasn't a question of 'is he dying but to ease his suffering by speeding up the process.
Jesus Christ the more details I find out about that story the wackier it sounds. Will really have to try and make an effort to read it lol.
