Lost werewolf story

windmill ๐Ÿšซ

I read this story circa 2015 on SOL. At that time it was incomplete. I am hoping it is now finished.

The story starts with a guy Riding his motorbike into a mountain town in the USA. At this time he doesn't know that he is a werewolf. He gets a job with a logging company that is a cover operation for a werewolf pack. He discovers his true nature and integrates into the pack.

I can't remember too much about the story. It's a long time ago. I can recall three subplots. The rescue of a girl cub, conflict with another pack and conflict with environmentalist who were sabotaging the logging operation.

Any ideas?

@tg_smith64

This is the story I was looking for. Pity it's not finished.

Many thanks.

The story description reminded me of the dead tree press, the Ukiah Oregon books by Wen Spencer. IIRC the MC is a boy raised by wolves turned missing persons tracker. he turns out to be alien or part alien, his closest relatives are alien / werewolves using a motorcycle gang as their facade to deal with humans.
I could be wrong about that, but I do remember enjoying the books a couple of decades ago. YMMV.

Ukiah Oregon has some ... issues that drove me nuts. Her other books are better. I especially loved "Tinker" and "A Brothers Price"

Also in DTP, Glory Season by David Brinn may appeal to you if you like sci-fi with strange reproduction / social scenarios. Think humans with the reproduction habits of aphids. Sometimes clones, sometimes hetero.

I never got into that series, either, especially given how many times I drove up and down 395 'tween Pendleton and John Day or Burns past Ukiah ... I think its only other claim to fame is to share the Oregon State record of coldest recorded temp with Seneca, both set about 90 years ago on successive days.

FWIW, Wen has a another Elfhome book coming out late this summer ...

Tinker is on my reread list. A Brothers Price I enjoyed the premise, it was a different take on society / world building, but I didn't become invested in the characters.
