If Someone could help me I am looking for the Author's name of two different stories. One is about 5 students at an academy who call themselves the "Royal Flush". These 5 students are given the task of helping a sixth student who has been traumatized by an episode in her past. I believe the story was set in a British setting.
The other story was by the same Author but was about a young lady whose parents were emotionally abusing her, and who was sent by her Grandmother to live with a relative on an island just off the coast, a bird sanctuary. This was in the same setting as the first story.
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
