I can't remember title or author of this one. MC is a teenage guy uprooted from his home in Australia to California when a parent accepts a new job in the US. He has wrote/is writing a series of popular novels for girls using a pen name. IIRC, part of the story takes place in Japan. I may be mixing my stories with that last part.)
