There is one good thing about losing your memory - when you reread a story you've read years ago, it's brand new all over again. Sorry I can't remember more of this story, but hopefully, someone will recognize it in spite of the paucity of information. The protagonist is a High School girl; other than that, I remember two scenes. First, she gets called to the principal's office and she addresses him by his nickname, which I think was "Iggy" or something similar. He just laughs. At a later date, she is walking through the halls with friends and, as they pass the principal, she again addresses him as Iggy. Her friends are shocked and the principal again just laughs. That's all I remember but, knowing the abilities of this group, by the time I read the Sunday paper and try to work the crossword, someone will have up with a suggestion. Thanks
