I am looking for a story about a peasant who is killed by his companions at a lake and thrown in, only to merge with a spirit at the bottom of the lake and become a wolf like creature who gets bigger and stronger the more he eats. Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, that one looks like it's been abandoned. It's pretty long, but the author looks like he stopped updateing here. In fact, he went on quite a bit further (some 70 or so chapters) on Patreon... but even there it looks like he's left his patrons high and dry as there have been no updates since the middle of last year.
