The hero rescues a princess on a planet and they flee into outer space from bug like aliens invading her planet. Also it is her bethrone that leads the conspiracy to take over her planet.
I remember the story quite well, which means I can't recall the title or author.
IIRC, the male protagonist has to go on a course to qualify as some sort of super judge, while the princess goes back to her control-freak mother for a while. I think the pair teamed up with a girl who had been heavily prosthetised to help in her work as an assassin for her slave-owning master.

The author is still on SOL, curiously I can't find the story even with Premium access.

I may be wrong but I believe Robert Wilson and Robert Wilson Writing are different authors, or at least different accounts.

Sounds like Scout by Warlord but it's a premiere story that was finished by FantasyLover a few years back.
