Cast in Time

PotomacBob ๐Ÿšซ

I was reading Cast in time โ€ข Baron, by Banadin. It seems to have been removed from SOL and I can't find it on Bookapy either. Am I just searching wrong, or is it on neither?

@PotomacBob

He has them available on Amazon right now

Banadin is Ed Nelson on Amazon.
He placed book II on Bookapy for a short period, maybe a week? Then removed both books from Bookapy and book one from SOL.

@Radagast

Look at his most recent blog entries for part of the story, you will note that he says nothing about having removed book one altogether.
https://bookapy.com/authors.php?let=E shows what he has there - just Book 2 at present.

My error. Only book one has been removed. It is no longer on SOL or Bookapy.

He has books 1-3 on SOL...I have no idea if they are the same as what he has for sale though. They do seem different than what I had originally read here on SOL

Originally the first part of the Richard Jackson series war broken up into 4 stories: Summer Vacation, Ninth Grade, another Summer Vacation, and Tenth Grade. They were all of varying lengths. When he sold them on Bookapy and later Amazon he combined them and broke them into 5 or 6 books of similar lengths.

Cast in Time Book 1 was serialized here first and then put on sale on Bookapy for a while before being pulled and sent to Amazon. Book 2 of Cast In Time is still on Bookapy as of 2AM this morning but I expect it to be pulled any time to go on Amazon. It was never on SOL.

Slight correction:
He combined them and broke them into 7 books of similar length and shorter chapters than the original stories.
The new titles of these 7 books are:
The Beginning;
School Days;
Hollywood;
In the Movies;
Star to Deckhand;
Surfing Dude;
Third Time is a Charm;
He pulled the original stories from SOL to put the now 7 books on Amazon.
Later he posted the first 3 Books again here on SOL. They only cover the original postings up to 2/3 of Ninth Grade [In the Movies would be the last third].

His next book (#8) Oxford University was shortly here on SOL, I downloaded all 39 chapters 7/14/2020 and 7/15/2020.

Last time I checked (October 2022) his latest book was #15 The Lunar Kingdom.

@helmut_meukel

There were 4 original stories.
My summer vacation 1958
Ninth grade 1958-1959
My summer vacation 1959
Tenth grade 1959
With the first being the best.

@ystokes

Sparky-1953 named them already in his post in a shortened form, so I didn't find it necessary to cite the full titles.

But Banadin worked My Summer Vacation 1958 in front of Ninth Grade 1958-1959 while they were still here, so from then on there were only three.

He had an inconsistency in the original Stories, in My Summer Vacation 1958 Rick told he had his British passport with him, while far later he didn't know of it's existence when his mum told him he has one and warned him to not use it with US authorities, because he might loose his US Citizenship.
Banadin corrected this in the "new" book 1 The Beginning by deleting one or two sentences.

There is another inconsistency regarding Rick's age when he made his solo flight and Banadin promised to correct it.
In the original version Rick was on a solo flight when he spotted the rustlers, but Banadin later realized Rick was too young for solo flight.
It's later in the books, so I couldn't check how he worked around it without buying the Amazon versions.
