Looking for a story about an IT guy that is not happy with a new boss. He goes to an IT conference where he meets a lady that runs an IT dept. at another Co. He helps her with some of the seminars, and she ends up recruiting him to work for her. Can't remember the name or anything.

I remember this story… the IT conference was in Provo UT, and if I recall correctly it was about Windows NT and Novell NetWare… I thought it might be a Coaster2 story but a quick glance at the listings didn't turn it up…
I remember it as well but am suffering from total memory loss at the moment...even after the info in Geeko's post!
I agree with you, and - having just looked - the story is still there as html and as a pdf file. It shows "Copyright 2000" and I think that is a couple of years before this site was founded, his most recent activity was in 2009.

I think this site goes back to at least 1999.
ASSTR started in 1996 as an archive of the ASS/ASSM newsgroups. It was expanded later to allow author pages/collections/etc...
SOL started as "Lazeez's Corner" in 1996/1997 and was renamed to storiesonline in 1998.

Hopefully this points to the right file. I ran it through Calibre to refomat to even margins. I think it just reads better that way.
