Lost Story

talut ๐Ÿšซ

I think I am going nuts trying to remember what story this scene is from: The MC, who has invented a VR blowjob machine that allows users to trade blowjob sessions, is recording a session with an Asian Adult Star that I think he met at an Adult Toy convention in Las Vegas. After the blowjob session is finished, it leads to full on sex. I also want to say that the MC's girlfriend knows and encourages the MC to get the blowjob from the adult star.

Thanks for any help.

the only story with a blowjob machine, that I know of, is Genie Chronicles by Joe Brolly

Still unfinished darnit.

That's it. Thank you. Big bummer that it is still unfinished.

It's a bummer that any stories are left unfinished, but it happens, either due to plot or health issues. Best we can hope for is to keep them to a minimum, which SOL does a pretty good job at. As a total percentage of stories, it's low, and many of those rest in the laps of a few who repeatedly left stories unfinished (cough, cough, Cmsix!).

His stories seem like a special case, as he kept reworking the same story idea over and over, trying to get it perfect but never being truly happy with them. :( Great ideas, just poor execution.

Let that be a lesson to the rest of us: it's better to finish a story, moving onto the next, even if it has flaws, rather than continually struggling to rewrite old ideas which never quite pan out.

Rewriting might make a story marginally better, but it rarely makes a weak story great!

Cmsix deserves far more praise than criticism, IMHO. Some of his unfinished stories look more like attempts to start the same basic story over again, only to run into that same mind-block of how to end the story satisfactorily. There are other authors on SOL who follow the trail he pioneered to the satisfaction of many readers. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, mine is that we are richer for his stories, even the ones with the yellow highlight at the end.

Cmsix

One major problem with his unfinished stories is due to the fact that whenever he gets new ideas. He reopens the finished story and starts adding to it. I know of at least 2 stories he did that with. Both now have the dreaded unfinished status. Much better to just make the new ideas into a sequel.

Don't get me long, I've loved many of his works. They're especially good as they reveal how the creative process works, showing how an author can keep trying to refine his efforts.

My point, though, is that sometimes it becomes an issue of fish or cut bait. You can keep refining a story, and never make it that much better, or you can go with what you have, giving it a satisfactory if not spectacular finish. As such, his stories stand as a cautionary tale for authors, which again makes them that much more valuable.

DocHollday's point stands. You get more mileage out of writing an entirely new story than you do rewriting the same script over and over.

The major idea is that once a writer tags a story as complete, they do not begin adding to it. Editing is different that is just correcting mistakes that were missed. New ideas or material should always be placed in another story. If the writer thinks it is needed include the last chapter as the first chapter.

edited to add: The new story may or may not get that incomplete tag status however the original will remain as a finished story.
