As the subject says I am looking for a story like Ka Hmnd's A Life in the Service. The MC retried and went to his home world. A female reporter is looking into solders who just disappears from the recorders. Someone tries taking over the world and he saves the woman and has flash backs or just remembering his time in the service. I believe he was a body guard fir the royal family.
