Sounds similar to Set Fire to the Rain by ElSol, but they fight witches/warlocks at the end, not aliens.

Not your story, but very similar to cmsix's story "I Feel Lucky," with is part of the NanoVerse series. Incomplete and inactive.

In "I feel Lucky," the protagonist discovers that every girl he has sex with falls in love with him in an almost obsessive way, then later discovers a mind control trick achieved during sex that makes the bond even stronger. He also discovers that other people know about the trick and are using it as part of some vast conspiracy, so he starts seducing women to protect them.
