A Stitch In Time by Marsh Alien

This was a great read. I've never read a time travel story on this site in which someone jumped forward in time.

That said, for anyone else who read the story I do have some questions.

1. Wasn't it weird how Tanya and Patrick ended things? I mean Tanya had met Rabbit before, why did they suddenly fall in love that night? And wasn't it a bit too much to fuck in the adjacent room of her former not-boyfriend? It seemed weird to me that they didn't at least talk to Patrick and Cammie respectively but they seemed cool with it so maybe I just don't really understand that point.

2. Cammie and Patrick were going to different universities at the end of the story (University of Virginia and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute resp.). Isn't that usually a death sentence to relationships on stories here? But it wasn't really talked about or even seen as a problem. Why is that?

3. Also it seemed like a huge oversight that he never told her about his memory loss/ time travel.

IIRC, Tanya is ready to break up with Patrick, it was a relationship of convenience / propiniquity, she was constrained to marry a Jew and as you mention, he was about to leave. Having Tanya & Rabbit click together allows Patrick & Cammie to couple up without break up drama.
Its a relatively short story and the author was wrapping everything up with a happy ending for all. Reality doesn't end with 'they all lived happily ever after, which is why we read books. The overall arc of the story is Patrick recovering / repairing his relationship with his family & real friends, while going through three years of mental growth in three months. Breaking up with Cammie again would fall outside that arc.
Why would a teen tell his new / just recovered GF that you suffer from massive memory loss? Showing signs of weakness never kept a girl around. If it did then Chad would sit by the phone alone and kissless virgins would be shagging cheerleaders. Revenge of The Nerds was a fun 80s sexploitation movie, but it wasn't a documentary.
TL,DR: I like it, its a different premise from most stories on here and I felt happy after finishing it.
