Recently I have re-read most of Aragon's stories and was very glad I did. I also have be re-reading rlfj's The Grim Reaper, and am currently reading about Grim's police career. There is a reason these stories are highly rated, they are a lot of fun to read, even if you remember how they turned out in the past.
I am thinking about changing my signing on name. RichardShagrimreaper. Rich and hard as in the past, Sha as in the emperor of Persia, and grim reaper.
Re-reading The Millionaire next door by Lazlo Zalezac right now. Just went through a bunch of Ernest Bywater stories. I would also say woodmanone is good along with Coaster2 and Happy Hugo

At the moment i'm re-reading Medusa: Fates game by Novus animus, it's an interesting take on medusa's story in Greek mythology, the sex scenes can be a bit repetitive however there are good reasons for this but it's well worth the read.
It sounds like it would be a good time to read all of the 'Stupid Boy' stories by G Younger. I read them all chapter by chapter as they were posted, but it is better to read them straight through, as they become more of a continuum rather than individual stories.

My thoughts too. I bought the last on at $4.99 and felt it was to short (Read in 7 hours) and this new one looks shorter for a dollar more.

I will admit I loved that series. The idea of Playboy clubs in medieval Poland and all the rest was a riot.
But towards the end, it became a kind of Mary Sue, and then after he and his publisher broke off it kinda went to crap. Literally Leo hooked up with a Russian "mail order bride", and talked his publisher Jim Baen into doing the same thing. Jim's bride turned out to be a nightmare and he dumped Leo as an author. Then Leo's marriage ended.
His last 2 books were published posthumously, and they were pretty bad. I got them to finish she series, but they were nowhere near as good as his earlier ones.
A true Leo fan I too know the history and agree with your comments. I will disagree that the last stories were bad. They just did not have his, "flair" for lack of a better term. I think the part that pissed me off the most was that neither was in the style of Leo but were passed off as a story in the series.

Well, the last was in fact one he wrote. Crusade was one that Baen turned down, which he said was poorly written.
And sadly, I agree with that. I admit I have even considered writing some "fanFic" and posting them in here based on his writings.
Maybe when I finish all of the other stories I am working on, and major editing to older ones. But it has been in the back of my mind.

I would add the Florida Friends series by Dual Writer except he refers to an evening flight of a few minutes with a fully qualified pilot as an exciting and dangerous undertaking (DW's word "adventure").. OK so English English is my original language! I still enjoy his prose

Personally, any time I get to sit in the co-pilot's seat, it is exciting. It only becomes dangerous when they let me play with all those knobs and things.

Magestic by gwresearch is an absolute MUST re-read, simply because of the sheer quantity of text. So much detail, such character depth, I've gotten through the series 4 times and still picked up new details and nuances

Vanessa rewrites and revises so much that every re-read is like a new read.
For light reading, reread the "Jack and Jill" series by Old Fart. Little drama, no cheating, very little teenage angst, but a nice coming of age story.

I recently used advanced search for the word "Viking" and was rewarded with 407 entries. It is possible not all of them are separate stories, but many of them looked interesting and some familiar, well worth reading/re-reading. I was trying to find an older story about a Viking named Uthelred, I think. There is a new story by Zak starting with Uthred the Viking as its title, which started my search. My Viking search turned up a lot of different stories, most not really about vikings, just with a character or behavior that reminded the story author about viking behavior. Its also the name for some boats, if I got the reference correctly. And some SF about neo-vikings. If "More" on the front page isn't getting you through the Covid 19 days, try searching for stories with key words that might interest you. With 100 or 300 stories on SOL at your disposal, you should be able to look around several dozen to find one or more you really like.

The author has a lot of stories here on SOL, almost all of them are well worth reading. Well, the lowest scoring "story" is a very short poem, I haven't read it.
SeaLife had a number. Currently rereading Some Kind of Hero. It's a superhero origin story, with very little superhero action, but a good story. Cries out for sequels, but...
Wes Boyd's Snowplow Extra.
Made a few aborted attempts at reading his other stories, but none ever interested me. However, this one is truly worthy of being optioned by one of them Hollywood firms.
Dance of a Lifetime by Don Lockwood or many other of his stories. Just love his writing.
Any of Jay Cantrell's stories are a good choice, although I'm particularly fond of 'Garlic Salt', 'Intersecting Circles', 'Finding Shelter' and the excellent Brock Miller saga.
