D/S power

karactr ๐Ÿšซ

Who really holds the power in a D/S Relationship? My view is that it is the sub that holds the true power. A sub that refuses to submit, can only be forced. That leads to some truly bad ends. A sub without a Dom is a masterless sub. A Dom without a sub is...well, let's face it...a normal person.
I have recently been reading Amanda Serve's "Taylor Swift" stories. This thought keeps coming to my mind. "I refuse to submit to YOU!"

Who holds the power?

I hate losing my laptop and having to do this on a tablet.

Does that make the laptop your (former) sub? Is the tablet also a rebellious sub? Which is why you hate having to do things on a tablet. Always assuming you are the Dom. Or possibly a normal person?

LMAO!! Neither actually. The tablet is just not typing friendly. It's a tool, not a sub. And, I am a switch, tyvm.

John Ringo discusses this in his 'Paladin of Shadows' series. And pretty much comes to the same conclusion as you, that actually the sub has the true power. Of course, if you're the Dom and you're also the Kildar, you're NOT a normal person... :)

Seriously, if you like military fiction, go read Ghost and then the rest of that series. (Okay, not the last one, Tiger by the Tail sucked, but that wasn't really written by Ringo.)

And if you like the Kildar books, you may enjoy the Wilco Lone Wolf books by Geoff Wolak, who also publishes on SOL as gwresearch.

And who holds the power when you're forced to unplug from the A/C power outlet?

@Vincent Berg

I HOLD THE POWER!! At least until the battery dies.

Back on topic, in Amanda Serves's latest work, I feel that the husband holding his wife this accountable for what is, basically, his lack of providing direction and discipline--his responsibilities as a Dom--to be abusive. I know it's fiction, but this irks my suspension of belief.
