While it's been a while since I've interacted with decedents of either, for some of them, asking the OP question is considered insulting fighting words.

I guess that means their haircuts were pretty much the same ;-)

I would guess that means that there isn't a distinctive "Mohican" haircut not that the Mohicans followed similar hair styles to the Mohawks.

Also, I haven't researched it, but I wouldn't presume that what we know today as a mohawk hair style has anything to do with the Mohawk tribe of the Iroquois Confederacy.
