Moving Stories Between Pen Names

I am considering adjusting my pen name(s) on here for Reasons not unrelated to Bookapy.

I have seen references here and there of people moving stories between pen names or combining/splitting them and things like that.

Is there an actual mechanism for doing that, or is it just deleting it from one pen name and reposting it under another? (In the latter case, resetting stats; if the former, does it keep stats or are they done fresh again?)

Sorry for asking so many logistical questions lately.

If you delete and reload you lose the stats and scores relating to them while it also destroys any existing hot links people have to the stories.

In my case I sent a message to Lazeez and asked him to move them. The advantage there was he was able to move the existing stats and scores with them as well as allowing the hot links people already have to continue working.

We can make a simple move through the admin side. Use the contact form to request the move. You must have the pen names set up under the same user account.

Now that's great! I've tried switching my SOL ID from CrumblyWriter to my actual name, but for some unknown reason, it never seems to stick and it keeps switching back, but if I simply name my legal name an alias, I can then switch over every single story I've every written (possibly including those I long ago retired behind the paywall firewall).

Thanks for the suggestion!

What do you mean it switches back? That doesn't happen.

if you want to change your pen name from CrumblyWriter to Vincent, just go to the account manager and click 'Prefs/Profile' and make the change and click 'save changes'

Sorry, I'd asked you to change my user account, and for some reason, the reference to vincentberg@ switched back to crumblywriter@ (I guess the centralized database overrode the SOL account name change).

There's bound to be minor details that slip through. Story comments referencing the author's original nym, for example.
