Does anybody know what the "19" portion of COVID-19 means?
The current taxonomic designation has become, after sequencing the virus:
SARS-CoV-2 โ Severe Acute Rrespiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2
See: Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2
Wow, IMO the Wikipedia (spit) article is not useful for people wanting up-to-date information for safety purposes.
There are supposedly at least four strains of the virus, two mild forms that are being used to test vaccines, the one we know and love, and a really deadly form that fortunately hasn't (yet) become widespread. And it has been conclusively shown that infected people are infectious before their symptoms start to show.

That is an opinion shared by more than yourself. Unfortunately, there are some asshats out there who try to pick apart anything more up to date than wiki. That does not make a conducive environment nor a motivation for sharing information.

Agreed. My reference was for taxonomy purposes only. And that they got right. :-)

The entire premise behind Wikipedia is to present a self-authenticated writing platform (i.e. one 'authorized' person writes an entry, and then others critique and validate it, adjusting it so it's more verifiable in the long run. The problem with Wiki is that, much of the time, there's only the first, utterly unverified first part, or the third part falls apart as different groups descend on the author, trashing everything imaginable. Thus Wiki's model isn't really viable in the real-world.
Still, I find it very useful as a source of authenticated quotes and publication details for various books. Those they seem to get correct the vast majority of the time. Breaking news stories, not so much.
Being a semi-recluse the only thing I worry about is how long before they find my body. Otherwise I refuse to live my life in fear.

If you're "enough" of a recluse, and semi may be enough, you might need to be more concerned about when you find their bodies in a future outbreak.
Heard a Dr. on TV saying in this time of Coronavirus staying at home we should focus on inner peace. To achieve this we should always finish things we start and we all could use more calm in our lives. I looked through my house to find things i'd started and hadn't finished, so I finished off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of Chardonnay, a bodle of Baileys, a butle of wum, tha mainder of Valiumun srciptuns, an a box a chocletz.
