Some stories are just so incredible, you couldn't make them up. Apparently the lobbyists are attacking other on-line dictionaries (eg Google) and thesauruses as well. Oddly enough, despite lobbying in the name of 'equality', they only seem to want pejorative synonyms for women to be deleted - they have no issues with wanker, prick or dickhead.

Of course not. when was the last time you saw a vacuum cleaner small enough to fit in a drinking glass? I will however, suggest that vacuum cleaner is a misnomer since there is no actual vacuum involved in a vacuum cleaner.

All those lecturers in feminist studies need funds for their research so they can gain tenure, as well as jobs for their lab assistants / rats. The posturing over language is probably an attempt to show they are still useful idiots and should be funded again.
