Canette-

I don't know if you're one of my readers or not - doesn't matter.

I like to think that most of them are like you.

I don't mind -actually relish - when an inconsistency is pointed out such as a continuity error or an especially egregious grammar thing, but I strive to put out a story that offers a little escape, a little pleasure.

Readers like you keep me trying.

thanks

Oyster, I am one who follows you. Between Lubrican, Robberhands, and Oyster50, you three are the serial writers I most follow. I agree whole heartedly with the OP. Please keep writing! We know it is a hard, often thankless, soul wrenching effort, and even if we don't mention it; we adore it.

@oyster50

Criticism is good, constructive criticism even better. Those who just insult your work for shits & giggles are not. When you see something wrong, or something not liked, don't just say it's wrong or you don't like it, explain why. This helps the author fix said error/mistake and helps them grow!

Most of the time, I'm also just a simple reader, although I relish long, complex stories. As a reader, I share your sentiments. I'm thankful for all the wonderful stories the kind-hearted authors of this forum provide and this great story site allows us to read.

As an author, I recommend other new up and coming writers to post a small sample of their story in this forum. A single sentence will be enough. You'll receive the most trollish feedback you'll likely ever encounter. That'll toughen you up tremendously ... if it doesn't already kill your joy on writing.

@robberhands

Was uns nicht umbringt macht uns nur hΓ€rter?

I used to know someone who used that a lot, her name was . . . Herta (I think she spelled it that way).

@Dinsdale

What a fitting name to use this saying. Was uns nicht umbringt macht uns nur Herta.

"...makes us HARDER"?!?

I have rotfflol!

edit: as if the many missives here don't make us hard enough.

edit2: ...and then soft, and then hard, and then soft, and then hard...well, you get the idea. :-D

@canette

You're welcome. Thanks for the kind words, regardless of whose stories you read.

typo edit to add 'of'

I agree with Ernest - thank you!

To OP agree with you wholeheartedly,very few trolls could write a story that anyone would make a low score accurate,probably deserve a negative one.
