Hmm, does someone commenting (rather than providing feedback) expect a response?
If they ask questions, they definitely do (even if the question is simply rhetorical, in intent). However, when I say 'I've had issues', I meant with people NOT getting responses when I hit 'reply' on the emails, which is why I now double-post each of my responses. The email response is faster, and allows for richer html content, but it doesn't always get through. I simply though Lazeez would want to know that it's currently an outstanding issue for many of us on the site who receive and maintain our message histories on our own computers.
Update: Sorry, I went back and reread the message after posting the response, and saw you were referring to the 'story messages' rather than the 'author messages'. In short, no, I don't do the double postings when someone responds to the story itself, mainly because the email notification ONLY tells you there's an 'outstanding message', rather than sending you the actual message.
The point is, Lazeez built in an automatic 'respond to the original poster' mechanism (via email) which doesn't seem to work as intended (if it was ever intended to work that way, as it seems tied into the email systems response (i.e. those who you've already emailed privately before)).
