Where is the Search box on the iBookstore?

Bondi Beach ๐Ÿšซ

On the splash page (where you land when you click "Store" from your iBooks library) of the iBookstore there are categories of this and that but if there's a Search box I can't find it. Can anyone tell me where it is?

Thanks,
bb

In my iBooks app you have a choice of displaying your Library, or the [iBook]Store. Click on the "Store" link and it takes you to Apple's iBookstore (or iBook Store, or whatever they call it). There, it displays bestsellers, books categorized by this or that, plus whatever stuff they think will sell.

Unlike Amazon, which does the same thing but has a huge Search box right at the top of the page where you can't miss it, the iBookstore page does not appear to have one at all. Or if it does, I can't find it. I'm hoping someone can tell me where it is or confirm that there isn't one.

That's what I'm talking about.

In my iBooks app

Never heard of any iBooks app. I still have only a vague clue as to what you are talking about.

Why would you be asking about that here?

Why would you be asking about that here?

For the same reason I asked my Mac questions. There are a lot of knowledgable people here.

Because those of us who write are here because we also post on a Web site that offers downloads in ePub format, one of the most-used multi-platform formats for e-books, unlike the proprietary closed Amazon Kindle and other e-reader-specific formats.

Apple sells digital books. They offer the ePub format. Many of my books are available on iBooks and I'll bet any number of others are as well.

So given how common the format is and how it is linked to the sponsoring Web site of this discussion group, it seems like a reasonable question to ask. Not to mention, as SB just did, the numbers of Mac users here.

It's OK if you don't know the answer to the question. Really.

It's not a matter of not knowing the answer, I didn't even understand the question itself.

I withdraw the last sentence of my earlier response.

In iBooks, click on "Featured" (it's on the bottom with a blue star). Then there's a search field on the upper right.

Praise the Lord! Thank you. Now I'll pick myself up from the face plant I executed on realizing I was looking in full-screen mode with no menu bar at top.

Thanks.

Praise the Lord!

Isn't the full saying "Praise the Lord, and pass the peas, please."

Can't tell you how much I dislike that part of the service. Passing all those damn veggies around and actually having to interact with your fellow worshiper. Urgh.

I hope Switch has the answer you need for your app, I can only speak about the Apple website I see on my PC, and it has an icon like a magnifying glass near the top right corner which you click on to open the search page.

Most of the hits when I went on line indicated after praising the lord the ammunition was passed. However Johnny Cash and the Oakridge Boys have a song that suggests Praising the Lord and passing the Soup.

Depends on the flavor of your church. In my mother's church, it was "The Peace of the Lord be with you," accompanied by a handshake or gentle hug. Double urgh.

But I bet the organist could've played Johnny Cash if he had to. He was a talented musician.
