Is there an advantage for readers to get stories from the ZBookStore rather than this site? I was wondering if it is a way to reach a broader audience?
I do writing as a hobby (you can probably tell from my not so polished style and grammer issues) so I'm not interested in writing as a side gig or to make money. I was just curious if it was of any value beside the obvious make a few bucks reason.

Some authors have added content to their stories in ZBookStore.
Most are bonus chapters. Doesn't change the story or ending.
Just a friendly note - I clarified with the admin that adding bonus content to stories on zbookstore that weren't on the storiesonline version is against the rules, it's considered "sale teasing".
It is if you actively promote it on the site. Not if it's included but not 'churned' to gin up your book sales. Then it's 'Bonus material'.
For a long time, I'd put extra graphics in my books (custom fonts, section break graphics, etc., which would sometimes slow the site down if used on a regular basis, but which when purchasing the books, enrich the experience (more 'setting the mood' than additional viewer content).
In short, if you don't tease the readers, then it's free content, not teasing readers for additional sales.

Some aren't on the site (only on ZBookStore).
Sometimes a novel is posted to SOL a chapter at a time. If the reader doesn't want to wait for the entire novel to be posted, they can get it on ZBookStore.
Getting it from ZBookStore gives you an ebook with cover, table of contents, etc.
In my case, my work is still available as eBooks, while the majority aren't available to the casual reader (no access to the older stories anymore). Luckily, my stories fit into both the older Bookapy and the new ZBookStore, so I still offer the older Bookapy address whenever someone asks where they can read my stories, as it seems more easily accessible and more easily remembered.
