Since Lazeez is championing the creation of new specialty sites, I'm curious if anyone here has any favorite genre categories they'd like to see develop into a new story site (not promising it'll ever happen though).
For me, most of my stories are 'hard' science-fiction (fiction based on actual science) dealing with larger than life issues (i.e. end of the world type of stuff). However, my true literary love are "Southern Fiction", the pseudo-true life tales of oddball characters living their lives independently of everyone around them (a necessary component for independent types living in the southeast states in the U.S.). I doubt anyone will ever create a website for this sub-genre (since few bookstores other than those in said Southern states even recognize it as a specific genre), but that's the type of story I'd eventually prefer to write, I just haven't felt qualified to write any of them yet.
Any other favorites, say maybe something we could offer to Lazeez?
